Dungeons and Dragons: Lenzburg Castle

The parentals (my dad and his partner) were in town for the Ascension week holiday so we decided to take a day to go adventuring! First, I don't want you to think we do nothing in Basel, so we did go to the Paper Museum. We left the 3 year old in school for that day (she never seems to be that into it - although it's surprising she's not because they have a lot of fun activities). Basel Paper Museum We made our own paper! We got our personalised wax seals! We made our own swirly designs (can't remember the proper name for it)! The next day, I had wanted to go to the Alps (Stoos is still on my list). However, didn't have the energy for such an adventure (3 hour train rides with the babies - intense!) so we stayed closer and went to Lenzburg. A town only 45 minutes away by train from Basel and with a grand castle atop a very big hill. You can take a bus to the top but we walked, taking us through their small but quaint Aldstadt (no cars, just walking). Yo...
